Registration for the 2025/2026 year is now open! 

Sacrament Preparation classes are for children in grades 2 to 8 who would like to receive the sacraments of First Reconciliation, Confirmation and First Eucharist. 

WHO?

This program is intended for children aged 7 to 13 years old who have been baptized. Proof that your child has been baptized is required PRIOR to attending the classes. If your child was not baptized at Holy Family Parish, you will be asked to upload a copy of your child’s baptism certificate in the online registration form.

If your child has not yet been baptized, please contact the parish office.

WHEN?

Classes will begin at the end of October and finish in the spring. Children receive Reconciliation in December and Confirmation and First Communion in the spring. A schedule will be made available at a later date.

WHERE?

Holy Family Parish, 1021 McCarthy Blvd N

COST?

The registration fee is $100/child or $150/two children or $175/three children or $200/four children from the same immediate family.

Payment should be submitted by September 30th in one of the following two ways:

  1. E-transfer to finance@holyfamilyregina.com (*in the memo, please note your child(ren)’s name(s) and that the payment is for Sacramental Preparation)
  2. Cash or Cheque made out to Holy Family Parish and submitted in person or mail your cheque to: 1021 McCarthy Blvd N, S4X 3P9

Don’t forget about your Confirmation Sponsor!

Each Confirmation candidate is required to have a sponsor who will attend the Confirmation ceremony in the spring. Your child’s Sponsor does not have to be his or her godparent, although it can be.  

The following are the requirements of a Confirmation sponsor:

  • at least 16 years of age; 
  • has received the sacraments of Baptism, First Holy Communion and Confirmation in the Catholic Church;
  • participates in the Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation and receives the sacraments of Eucharist and Reconciliation regularly; 
  • realizes that they assume a great responsibility before God and the Church in becoming a sponsor and will faithfully fulfill the obligations connected with it; and
  • gives support to the candidate through prayer and by the Christian example of their daily life. 

Please prayerfully consider who your child’s Confirmation sponsor should be. Then complete the following online form by December 20, 2025.
