Annual General Meeting and Pastoral Council Nominations

On March 19, 2017 the Holy Family Parish ‘Annual General Meeting’ is to be held in the Parish Hall following the 11am mass. Prior to meeting there will be a pot luck lunch. In accordance with our Holy Family Constitution and Bylaws the upcoming vacant chairperson positions are to be elected at this meeting.

As a Parishioner, with thought and prayerfulness, be willing to let your name stand for one of these important positions in our parish. Allow yourself to be that good Steward and Christian example to your Family and Parish   You are welcome to contact any Parish Council member if you would like more information.

To nominate someone, you can either download the nomination form here, or pick a copy up in the parish foyer, by the pastoral council display on the bulletin board.  Completed nomination forms can be placed in the nomination box located beside the nomination forms in the foyer.

OPEN POSITIONS

Pastoral  Council Chair:

  • Consults and assists the Parish Pastor and Pastoral Council and Finance Council in dealing with all pastoral matters and in carrying out the Church’s vision and the parish’ mission.
  • Responsible for chairing all Pastoral Council meetings.

Assists the Pastor in setting an agenda for meetings.

Pastoral Council Vice-chair :

  • Works with the Parish Pastor, PC Chair and Pastoral Council members to fulfill PC’s responsibilities.

Liturgy Chair: 

  • Works with the Pastor and Liturgy Coordinators as a team, to help facilitate meaningful liturgies allowing all parishioners to be fully active participants in their faith journey.

Vocation Awareness Chair:

  • Works with the Pastor and Liturgy Coordinators as a team, to help facilitate meaningful liturgies allowing all parishioners to be fully active participants in their faith journey.

Youth Chair:

  • In consultation with the Parish Youth Minister, the Pastoral Council Youth Co-Chair reps are responsible for fostering and promoting youth involvement in our parish.

Social Justice Chair:

  • Raises awareness of the social mission of the parish within and outside boundaries.
  • Promotes and educate Parishioners on the Church’s Biblical and social teaching regarding issues of Justice and Peace.

Ecumenical Chair :

  • Supports other Ecumenical and Interfaith Groups and looks for local opportunities for the translation of ideas into deeds.
  • Supports and promotes Archdiocese Ecumenical Programs

Welcome Chair:

  • Coordinates the welcoming of new parishioners and making all parishioners feel that they are part of Holy Family Parish.
  • Sponsors and supports social events through the year to promote fellowship.

Health and Wellness Chair:

  • Responsible for health and wellness issues and programming for parishioners and
